The Critical Me.

So, what've I been up to lately? Mainly work.
- Getting drunk and singing Placebo to myself, more like!

I really want to do well, I don't know what's suddenly changed... I guess I can't risk the same-old me being lazy and risking everything for a last minute work load.

But anywho, the photo above is one of my final pieces for the latest project. Looking, and responding to Andy Warhol's theme of death (in some of his work) I came up with my own view. I guess I'm calling this series of photos "Didn't Mean To Scare", or something along those lines. I've not really decided.

This project looks at the fear of death (obviously). It's common in all of us but it's a natural thing. We accept nature. But not that part. I just find it strange. SO, I looked at horror films, the old ones bare in mind, Nosferatu, for example and I even looked over Sam Taylor-Wood's Bram Stoker's Chair.

The photo above is the unedited version. I photoshopped this photo to look like an old film but that's currently still at work as I'm not sure if it's... Too much?

A project still on-going, I guess. I'll leave you to think whatever you like, over one photo.
- OHH! I forgot to mention. This series of photos is the "next step" to the photos on my last blog.

Hello.
Wow! Fantastic photo!!!
I definately see the nosferatu influence you told me about (it specifically reminds me of a shot where Hutter is lying in bed, and the shadow of Orlok with his clawed hands raised, bearing over him ready to attack. dum-dum-dummmmm! hehe)
I love your pose and the ominous hooded figure of death lurking over. Again, it reminds me of Universal monster movies of the 1930's. I love it; the mood, the composition and the imagery! Well done (as if you were ever not going to do well!)

Would you like to go out to Starbucks or something on Wednesday if you are free? I am going to need some fun with the week ahead of me (5 hours of boredom on monday between lectures, and a 220 minute Hindu film on tuesday night, this prize evening on thursday and i am sure there will be more suprises ahead! "Help me Deelarah-Kenobi! You are my only hope..." Sorry, i watched Star Wars today!)

Hope to see you soon. Keep up the good work. Have fun! X
